General
Do not agree on any swaps or sales if you can’t make it to a Post Office or use the ‘Click and Drop’ Service within 48 hours of agreeing.
(Unless otherwise agreed upon with the other party.)
Adding your Facebook link allows you to receive Game Alerts on FB messenger and allows all members to see your FB profile providing piece of mind to all members.
(Only premium members has access to Game Alerts.)
Look for your name on the Trusted Swapper/Seller Tables to check out your monthly and all-time swaps.
(Only premium members can sell items and become a trusted seller.)
Try to take a well-lit, focused image of your item/items when advertising on the WebApp.
(If the image is unclear some members will be put off interacting with the post.)
Swapping
Join our Facebook Group – Game Swap Shop UK (Group) to help advertise your games for swap.
(All swaps are completed on the WebApp.)
Sales
As a buyer you are responsible for what you buy, so make sure you’re 100% happy with the item/items you’re buying.
(Be sure to ask for photos and or videos. All sales are final.)
When selling an item/items, the final price must not exceed the current R.R.P.
(Unless the item is a limited run or very rare.)
Posting
If you’re lucky, some members will receive some sweets or goodies within their package. We encourage this behaviour and feel it is great for the community, but it is not mandatory.
(Could be a good way to increase your rating.)
If you don’t want to use the postal service, you can find out where the seller is and find a halfway point to meet.
(We advise all members that opt for meeting other members to be accompanied by another person.)
Royal mail’s ‘click and drop’ service is the most convenient and efficient way to post your item/items. If you are familiar with the service or feel confident in using click and drop we advise this option over going to the post office.
(Anyone using this service will need a working printer to print out the appropriate labels.)
If you are going to the Post Office, do not be Up-Sold, ‘First Class Signed For’ (£2.85) is enough to send one game. You will receive a tracking number and be insured for up to £50 if Royal Mail loses it.
Game Swap Shop UK will provide a Middleman Service as a last resort option for any member to ensure the item items they buy are as advertised.
